Our Riviera Hotel Las Vegas Review:
The Riviera Casino and resort
Set on the Strip, the Riviera Hotel Las Vegas perhaps offers guests a superb location close to all of the iconic boulevard’s attractions. Some eight kilometres from the international airport, next door to the Las Vegas Convention Center and close to the Somerset Shopping Center, the hotel offers spacious rooms, a large casino and a choice of eateries, among other typical Vegas offerings.
Popular with business visitors as well as holidaymakers, the Riviera Hotel Las Vegas sits just across the street from the Las Vegas Hilton and Circus Circus. It is a good 20-minute walk from the heart of the action, so guests should come prepared to rub shoulders with the masses to get around the local attractions. Check-in lacks the smooth service and speed of other higher star-rated establishments in the vicinity, but this is a minor drawback for most.

Disabled access and non-smoking rooms and suites are provided on request and the air-conditioned guest rooms come with refrigerators, flat-screen TVs with both cable and satellite connections as well as in-room movies, en-suite bathrooms with showers, hairdryers and coffee and tea-making as well as ice machines. Comfortable, clean beds and internet access complete the picture. For self-drive guests, valet and garage parking is provided.
In-room and buffet breakfasts and 24-hour room service are featured, together with a 24-hour coffee shop and a food court. For lunches and evening meals, there are five restaurants plus a food court serving steaks, seafood, Asian cuisine, British pub grub, a buffet supper and snacks as well as bars offering beers, wines, cocktails and spirits. A pool and a fitness centre make for great work out spots before heading to one of the nightly live shows

Like the vast majority of other Vegas hotels, the Riviera Hotel Las Vegas boasts an extensive casino with all the usual games including poker, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and craps as well as a new feature, the Asian Gaming Pit, with baccarat and Pai Gow Poker. For less expensive fun, the hotel is the only one on the Strip to offer Bingo and, for good measure, a tattoo parlour, set right among the games and slots. The hotel’s intimate entertainment venues offer a wide choice of offerings, with the Strip’s plethora of extravagant shows largely at the other end of the Strip.
A plus for business travellers and convention organisers is the Riviera Hotel Las Vegas’s 150,000 square feet of convention space, fully-equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, full catering services and great views of the Strip. The adjacent Las Vegas Conference Center offers even more extensive spaces for major conferences and conventions.
It is probably fair to say that the Riviera Hotel Las Vegas doesn’t offer the best value for money on the block, but for an economy stay in the heart of Vegas, you could do a lot worse than this comfortable, well facilitated hotel.Been here? Rate it:Rating: 0.0/5 (0 votes cast)
