Our Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas Review:
One of the newest arrivals to Las Vegas is the Cosmopolitan Hotel, an elegant resort casino centred around two, gleaming high-rise towers. The designers couldn’t have picked a better location to build a luxury property, right at the heart of the Strip on arguably the most valuable real estate in the city. The Cosmo is all class and plenty of glass, and whether you can afford to stay here or not, its facilities are definitely worth a lingering visit.
The nearly 3,000 rooms and suites at the Cosmopolitan are some of the nicest in Las Vegas. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, and many of them boast world-class views over the Vegas Strip from their private terraces. With 52 floors to work with, elevation is one of the hotel’s main selling points. Size also matters, as the rooms here are noticeably more spacious than the average Strip room and come loaded with all the high-tech kit you could want.
Even its massive casino is elevated so that gamblers can take an occasional peek out the floor-to-ceiling windows between hands and admire the beauty of the Strip at night. For anyone who has gambled in a dark, timeless casino, this is a wonderfully novel move. The Cosmo also features a few cool tricks like private Casino Cabanas where a group of friends can play together.
Three different kinds of swimming pools ensure that guests can freshen up and relax at any time of day or night. The Boulevard Pool is the social hub, where everyone is welcome and the views over the Strip are lovely. For a bit of spa-like pampering, the Bamboo Pool offers private nooks and a more exclusive atmosphere. After dark, the adults-only Marque Dayclub Pool turns into an extension of the hotel’s trendy nightclub for a whole new level of fun.
From sushi to Spanish tapas, the Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas boasts 13 totally different restaurants to awe and inspire. You won’t find coupon discounts or budget buffets around here, but the cuisine is top-shelf and worth every penny. Budget conscious visitors do have one option, however, at the tasty pizza joint, D.O.C.G.
The hotel’s five bars cover the gambit, from cool Vegas cocktail lounge to bumping nightclub. There’s a discernable sense of taste and style in everything the Cosmo offers, evident in the Chandelier Bar and its mesmorising strings of light beads or pitch-perfect cocktails poured at the Vesper.
An eclectic selection of boutique shops from across the globe awaits in the galleria, with designer names you’ve probably never heard of but should know about. Massages and other welcome health spa treatments are dished out in the spendy Sahra Spa and Hammam, with the décor alone really quite extraordinary.
To stay at the Cosmopolitan is quite a treat. This is one of the rare hotels in Vegas where the rooms are so nice, you’ll want to make time to hang out in them, especially if you have a soaking tub and a private terrace. The only downside is the high cost of everything. But its central location on the Strip makes it worth stopping by for a drink and perhaps a punt on its panoramic tables at the very least.Been here?
